Daily Prayer: What Jesus Said and Did
Jesus taught us the importance of daily prayer. He said, “Always pray, never lose heart” (Luke 18:1). He also said to converse with God day and night (Luke 18:7). When He taught His disciples to pray, He told them to ask God for their daily needs (Luke 11:3).

Jesus set an example of daily prayer by praying during all kinds of circumstances:

 

• He prayed at His baptism (John 3:21).
• He prayed as He faced His passion (Matthew 26:39) and on the cross (Matthew 27:46; Luke 23:34, 46).
• Jesus prayed while in agony, He prayed all the more earnestly (Luke 22:44).
• He prayed during sad times, like at the tomb of His friend Lazarus.
• He prayed all night before He chose His disciples. (Luke 6:12).
• He prayed when He broke bread and gave it to others to eat (John 6:11).

Jesus made it a priority to pray. “Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed” (Luke 5:16), or He sent the crowds away and “went up on a mountainside by Himself to pray” (Matthew 14:23). We also read that Jesus rose “very early in the morning” and “went off to a solitary place where He prayed” (Mark 1:35).

Daily Prayer: What Else the Bible Says
The Bible tells us to pray on all occasions, making our requests known to God (Ephesians 6:18). Scripture tells us to pray without stopping (1 Thessalonians 5:17). It tells us never to worry about anything, and to thank God for what He has already provided (Philippians 4:6).

Jesus taught His followers to pray a simple daily prayer. You may know it by heart already as “The Lord’s Prayer,” but it will become more meaningful to you if you take time to think about what each phrase means. Then say it in your own words:

 

• “Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name.” At the beginning of your prayer, acknowledge that God is your Father. For example, you might pray, “God, thank You for loving me and adopting me as Your child, though I did nothing to deserve Your love.”
• “Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” These phrases are all about your desire to have God’s ideals acted out here on earth. Ask God to show you what He wants done today and to give you the energy or courage to do it. Ask Him to show you any ways in which you might be unaware you are doing something that is less than His ideal and to help you change.
• “Give us this day our daily bread.” Ask God to provide for you physically today. Feel free to ask for other needs such as housing, clothing, a job, safety, etc. Get specific about what you need and thank Him for the ways He has provided in the past.
• “And forgive us our trespasses even as we forgive those who trespass against us.” Ask God to forgive you for those things you know you have done wrong. You may want to pray for God’s help in conquering a sin that keeps recurring in your life. Ask God for His forgiveness and thank Him. Then, think about whether there is anyone in your life who you have not forgiven. Take a moment to mentally forgive others. Ask God to intervene in those areas of your life.
• “Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil.” After praying for forgiveness, pray for protection from temptations and evil for self and family
• “For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory. Amen.” Acknowledge that God has the power to answer your prayers and perform what He has promised.

The Apostle Paul has gotten a lot of flak over the years for his statement that women should be silent in the churches. He’s also had plenty of women irritated at him for saying they should submit to their husbands. Yet, while the Bible has been accused of promoting ancient patriarchal social structures or even downright misogyny, the Bible actuallypromotes womenand provides excellent examples ofwomen who were honored.

The Bible was written, just like all books, in a male-dominated society. Yet, even in a time before the 19th Amendment and Title IX, the Bible does a great deal to promote the cause of women. Women are treated with respect in its pages,and not as scapegoats orthe property of men as in certain other religions. Even though Eve is credited with taking the first bite of that fruit, she’s not faulted with the fall of humanity; Adam is (1 Cor 15:21-22). It’s important for us to look at thetreatment ofwomen throughoutthe Bible.

Old Testament:
In Exodus 35:25-26, women took part in providing for the tabernacle, the holy tent where God would speak face to face with Moses. These “wise hearted” women used their creativity and skill for the glory of God by spinning beautiful blue, purple, scarlet and linen cloths. Apparently, their hearts were spiritually stirred up to do the work along with the men.

Two books of the Bible, Ruth and Esther, are devoted to the excellent women whose names those books bear. Ruth became the great-grandmother of King David, and therefore the ancestor of Jesus himself, and Esther’s courage saved the lives of all the Hebrew people living in the kingdoms ruled by Babylon.

Deborah was a strong woman and a prophetess who judged Israel: “And she dwelt under the palm tree of Deborah between Ramah and Bethel in mount Ephraim: and the children of Israel came up to her for judgment.” – Judges 4:5

In 2 Kings 22:14-20, Hilkiah the priest, Ahikam, Achbor, Shaphan, Asahiah all went to Huldah the prophetess to receive instruction from the LORD.

Job, one of the most esteemed men who ever lived, gave his daughters an inheritance with their brothers. Job 42:15

God often has compassion for women in the Old Testament, like Hannah (1 Sam 1:2-20), Leah (Gen 29:31), and the two women in 2 Kings 4.

Solomon’s statements about women can sometimes be considered humorous. He speaks both of foolish women and of wise women, of ladies wicked and virtuous. He had his share of wives, though, some of whom he apparently wished he could escape, as seen in statements like:

“It is better to dwell in a corner of the housetop, than with a brawling woman in a wide house.” – Proverbs 21:9

“It is better to dwell in the wilderness, than with a contentious and an angry woman.” – Proverbs 21:19

“A continual dropping in a very rainy day and a contentious woman are alike.” – Proverbs 27:15

As much as we can enjoy some light-hearted humor at Solomon’s expense, his words demonstrate something important; his wives certainly felt free to speak their minds.

And while many women resent her for her perfection, the last chapter of Proverbs is dedicated to describing an especially amazing woman.

New Testament:
Women are treated with great importance in the New Testament.Jesus’ decenttreatment of women, from prostitutes to foreigners,bordered on scandalous. The Gospels tell of many occasions in which Jesus healed women,even one considered”unclean”according to theLaw(Mark 5:25-34; Lev 15:25).Jesus spoke one-on-one with the Samaritan woman at the well (John 4), and on several occasions he came to the defense of women (John 8:3-11,Luke 7:37-50). Women loved him and a group of themfollowed him (Mark 15:40-41), and some of his most encouraging words were spoken to women (John 11:23-26, 38-40). Mary was welcomed to sit at Jesus’ feet (Luke 10:39-42), taking the posture of a disciple.Women were the first to learn of his resurrection (Luke 23:55-24:10), and Mary Magdalene was apparently the first person he appeared to after he rose (John 20:14-17).

Paul is not such a criminal as many women might think. Paul gives one of the most excellent, beautiful descriptions of how a man should treat his wife that can be found anywhere, ancient world or present:

“Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it… So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself. For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church: For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones. For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.” -Ephesians 5:25, 28-31

Paul tells men to lay down their lives for their wives, to cherish them, and tolove them as they love their own bodies. If all husbands behaved that way toward their wives, women would have no problem respecting their husbands.

Paul gladly accepts the ministry of women on several occasions. Paul, Lukeand Silasfound a safe house in the home of a certain businesswoman in Thyatira named Lydia (Acts 16:14-15, 40).Paulworked with several women in the ministry, like Priscilla (Rom 16:3), and hespeaks with great warmth and appreciationof Phoebe (Rom 16:1-2), telling the Romans to “assist her in whatsoever business she hath need of you.”

And about women keeping silent in churches? Inthe contextof 1 Corinthians 14, Paul is talking about maintaining order during church gatherings. It’s notable that just 3 chapters prior, in 1 Cor 11:5, Paul made it clear that women do prophesy. When were they supposed to prophesy then, if not in church gatherings? There have been several female prophets in the Bible, and they spoke to groups that also included men. Anna the prophetess is a notable example (Luke 2:37-38). It’s obvious from the context that Paul’s purpose was not to subjugate women, but to keep order when the people came together. Some have suggested that women, who were not necessarily literate,had been making a lot of noise during gatherings by asking their husbands questions.It was causing disruption, just as people prophesying all at once caused disruption.Paul finishes the whole section by saying, “Let all things be done decently and in order.”

Ultimately, Paul says, “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.” -Galatians 3:28

Obama, Abortion, Eugenics and Mothers Day:

Almost immediately after his election, but prior to his taking the oath of office B. Hussein Obama selected his buddy and abortion advocate Rahm Emanuel to be his Chief of Staff. During his first week in office Obama overturned the Mexico City Policy. A policy that had prevented US tax payers from funding abortions around the world

Rather than urge Americans to appreciate the beauty and sanctity of human life, Obama used the 36th anniversary of Roe v. Wade as a celebration of the 50,000,000 plus abortions perform since then.

The first one hundred days of the Obama presidency were white washed by the media and all of his pro-abortion actions, such as promoting embryonic stem cell research with tax payer money were not mentioned. Obama is overturning pro-life conscience protections, that keep pro-life medical professionals from having to perform abortions. And, one day after doing this B. Hussein Obama made Kathleen Sebelius head of Health and Human Services, despite her support of a late term abortion butcher in Kansas.

Obama has given 50,000,000 dollars to the United Nations Popullation Control Agency, that works with the Chinese and other countries, providing forced abortions and forced sterilizations. Keep in mind all of this is being done with tax payer dollars, money we have earned.

In March Planned Parenthood, the nations largest pro-abortion provider and advocate, funded with tax payer funds, was allowed to attend the White House Health Care Summit. No pro-life groups were invited or allowed to attend, in direct violation of the equal protection section of the US Constitution. Keep in mind that in April the Department of Homeland Security, that reports directly to the President, released a report calling pro-life and people of faith potential domestic terrorists.

Obama’s first judicial appointment to the 7th Circuit Court is pro-abortion and we can expect more of the same with a Supreme Court opening coming up. The new universal healthcare bill (www.pnhp.org/nhibill/nhi_bill_final.PDF) allows for the governmental committee, selected by the President and including at least two union officials (now that is what I want, a couple longshoremen deciding if I get treatment), to decide the level of treatment one gets. So, if you are poor and pregnant, you may have to have an abortion, or the government may not pay for your care. People will argue that this couldn’t happen, but they also said the Titanic wouldn’t sink, Obama wouldn’t attack the Constitution and pigs would never fly (but we now have a hybrid bird flu/swine flu).

Get mad. Get Active. Stop the madness before it is too late.

Sometimes silly, sometimes irritating, sometimes very serious, political correctness is all around us. It can scratch at asingle community or it can gouge through an entire nation. Here are some forms of political correctness considered a bit out of whack:

The Starter Gun:
Of course we don’t want adolescent kids bringing guns to school. Teens have enough temptations to deal with without having a 9mm readily available in their lockers. In Toronto, though, somebody decided it would be a good idea to ban evenstarter guns at track meets. Apparently, these noisy pistols armed with blanks are considered a bad example to the angst-ridden teens we want to keep gun-free at school. The problem with a starter gun ban isn’t just that starter pistols have been used for “Go!” since Babel, and kids have consistently rejected the urge to go postal at track meets. The problem is also that starter pistols are relatively inexpensive. It would cost a lot to replace the pistols with loud horns tied to electonic timers. Is it really that necessary to nix these big cap guns?

Spring Egg Hunts:
Earlier this month, an editorial in The Acorn of LA County, California complained about the fact that local children were going to be hunting “spring eggs” instead of “Easter eggs” because of out-of-bounds political correctness. Correctly,the writer defended protecting religious symbols from being generalized to death because it just offends the faithful.

“[C]onsider the revered Hannukah menorah. Because Christians light multiple candles at Christmas, too, how about a new, one-size-fits-all name: ‘the holiday candelabra’? No. It’s called a menorah and it’s a very important part of the Jewish religion. And yes, the little white rabbit is called an Easter bunny and it’s indelibly linked to the Christian holiday this Sunday.”

The irony is that the term “Easter” is rooted in ancient pagan religions and not in Christianity at all. The Easter bunny has nothing to do with the Christian faith. Yet, those who changed the children’s hunt to one of “Spring eggs” certainly did so because the term “Easter” is culturally connected to the resurrection of Jesus Christ. After all, there’s always that risk that children might think about God while wolfing down chocolate bunny eggs.

Terrorists No More
While some tendrils of political correctness are just silly or annoying, others can seriously endanger the lives of American citizens. When people who chop the heads off of civilians are called “militants” instead of “terrorists” and are set free to go back to the work of bringing America to its knees before Allah, we all should be deeply concerned.
Conservative writer Thomas Sowell writes:

“We have already turned loose dozens of captured terrorists, who have resumed their terrorism. Why? Because they have been given ‘rights’ that exist neither in our laws nor under international law.”

This is completely misguided. The President’sprimary concern is the safety of the American people, and letting terrorists go freecannot possiblymake America safer. Sowell continues:

“Bending over backward is a very bad position from which to try to defend yourself. Nobody in those days confused bending over backward with ‘the rule of law,’ as Barack Obama did recently. Bending over backward is the antithesis of the rule of law. It is depriving the people of the protection of their laws, in order to pander to mushy notions among the elite.”

The official”War on Terror” may have ended, but that does not mean that the terrorists have ceased their war against us. Political correctness on our part will not change that, and in fact may entice the enemy to attack us as they perceive us as weak, exposed, and unprotected.

People are polite and gracious in civilized societies. They treat their neighbors with decency and respect. Yet, political correctness is more than simple politeness; it is an irrational attempt to please even the basest or mostpickyelements of society. In the end, political correctness always offends somebody, and, in some cases, endangers everybody.

Does the Bible teach that the Church will be supernaturally removed (rapture)? Will the Church escape the tribulation? Is the rapture pretribulation pre-wrath, or post tribulation?

The best way to find out the truth is to correctly interpret God’s word. In some cases this is easier said than done. Finding and correlating deep truths in some scriptures can be like mining for gold. It is hard work but it sure is worthwhile when you sift out a few nuggets. I expect God wanted it that way so that some things would be hidden from the adversary. The parables are prime examples of how Jesus gave truth to the children of the promise but the sons of darkness could not understand what He was talking about. Some of God’s truths take scholarship and enlightenment by the Holy Spirit. Sometimes there may be more than one level of truth in a passage with insights that are revealed in time by the Holy Spirit as He deems appropriate. This is apparently the case with the truth about the rapture of the faithful Church.

 

Some teachers are blind about the rapture and Bible prophecy.

There are many theologians in some of the denominations who do not see that we are in the prophetic years because they allegorize or spiritualize all scripture dealing with the end times and the restoration of Israel. Unless there is clear indication for allegory, even common sense dictates that scripture writings should be taken in a literal sense. By allegorizing prophetic scripture these theologians can make it say just about anything they want. By applying the promises of God for Israel to the Church, they can do away with any literal fulfillment on earth. Scholars such as these really need to review why it is that they use human rationalization to distort the plain teaching of God’s word.

I believe they do this either in ignorance due to their seminary training or because they do not wish to believe what God said about a literal fulfillment that includes a final world-wide judgment and thousand-year reign of Christ on earth from Jerusalem. They do not understand that the body of Jesus rose very early on the third day and that the body of Christ (the Church) will also rise very early on her third day – a day with the Lord is as a thousand years (2 Pe 3:8).

Liberty taking with the literal interpretation of prophetic scriptures in the past was not as critical a problem to the Church as it is today. In the past the Church in general had less knowledge of the scriptures and the Church was not near the prophetic years. Today, there is widespread access of scripture in the Church, so we do not have that excuse. In addition, there is more danger in applying scriptures meant for Israel to the Church. The theology that the Jews killed Christ and that God has cursed the descendants of Israel and given her promises to the Christian Church in recent times opened the door for the Jewish holocaust under Hitler. Those in replacement theology today may be opening a new door for the predicted worldwide holocaust against the Jews under the Beast Antichrist.

The Church is the body of Christ and is the firstborn into the promise of a new covenant. The Gentiles were grafted into that promise and that covenant because most of Israel rejected their Messiah and the natural branches were broken off so that wild branches could be grafted in (Gentiles). However, that promise and covenant was actually given to the house of Jacob and Judah without any conditions (Jer 31:31). When the nation of Israel acknowledges its offense, all in Israel who call on the name of the Lord will be grafted back in and receive their new covenant promise.

When the Father determines that the time has come, He will remove the faithful Church to heaven where she will become one with His Son. The earth at that time will be cleansed of evil doers prior to the return of Jesus in glory with His bride. At that time, He will set up the promised thousand-year reign on earth ruled from Jerusalem. When this occurs the promise of a new covenant to Israel will be fulfilled as the prophet Joel foretold.

Joe: 2:28 And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:
29 And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.
30 And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke.
31 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come.
32 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the LORD hath said, and in the remnant whom the LORD shall call.
3:1 For, behold, in those days, and in that time, when I shall bring again the captivity of Judah and Jerusalem,
2 I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted my land.

Is pretribulation rapture theology a new Church doctrine?

Some say there is no rapture of the Church prior to the tribulation and point out that it was not even taught to the Church until the 1800’s.

In Grant Jeffrey’s book “Triumphant Return“, he writes that about 373 AD Ephraem taught in a sermon that there was a pre-tribulation rapture. This writing can be found in Ephraem’s sermon “On the Last Times, the Antichrist, and the End of the World.“, Ephraem said in this sermon, “For the saints and Elect of God are gathered, prior to the tribulation that is to come, and are taken to the Lord lest they see the confusion that is to overwhelm the world because of our sins”.

Ephraem also taught in this same sermon that the war of Gog and Magog in Ezekiel 38-39 would precede the tribulation and he taught the imminent return of Jesus.

 

Is the pretribulation rapture secret?

The rapture will not be secret. In fact the world has been informed that it will happen through many popular writings like the “Left Behind” series. The rapture event itself will be known to all who will witness the missing people. The “New Age” pagans have even pre-prepared explanations for the rapture in some of their writings.

 

Is their a pretribulation rapture?

In the rapture, the true Church of God is removed so they will not go through the trial that will come upon all the earth to try men’s souls (they have no need to). Christ does not come back to take possession of the earth at that time. The rapture is just another phase of the first Resurrection that began with Jesus Christ. Jesus is the body of Christ and the true Church is also the body of Christ. The total membership making up the body of Christ must arise like Jesus to unite with Jesus. We must go before the bema seat judgment to be given the crowns that will allow us to rule and reign with Jesus when we return. If the rapture and second coming were at the same time you would have to make this judgment and the giving of the crowns an instantaneous event in the clouds at the second coming of Jesus. In the Jewish harvest, you have the first fruits, the general harvest and the gleaning. The harvest is not one event and neither is the resurrection of the saints. Revelation makes it clear that the 144,000 Israelites who have a ministry in the tribulation are still first fruits, so this would indicate that those in the true Church before the tribulation are also first fruits of this harvest.

There are well over a score of biblical passages that indicate that the return of Jesus for the Church is imminent. An imminent return is quite impossible if the tribulation has to happen first. Why would Jesus direct his people to be always ready and watching for His coming if they were meant to go through the tribulation and thus would be aware of His coming as much as seven years before He actually came?

After the letters to the seven churches of Revelation and what is seen in heaven, the focus of the book of Revelation on earth is on the Israelites again. We see the Jews fleeing into the wilderness, the rebuilt temple, the two prophets, the 144,000 Jewish witnesses, and all nations coming to fight against Israel.

Sixteen scriptural proofs that the rapture is pre-tribulation *

Proof #1: Revelation 19:11-21 doesn’t mention a resurrection.
The rapture is a resurrection of those “in Christ” (1 Thess. 4:13-18). Isn’t it a little bit odd that in Rev. 19:11-21, which is the clearest picture of the second coming of Christ, there is no mention of a resurrection? The rapture will be the biggest event since the resurrection of Jesus where hundreds of millions of Christians will be resurrected and translated, yet there isn’t any mention here. Don’t you think it deserves at least one verse? The rapture isn’t mentioned because it doesn’t happen at the second coming.

Proof #2: Zechariah 14:1-15 doesn’t mention a resurrection.
This is an Old Testament picture of Jesus returning to earth at the second coming. Again, no mention of a resurrection.

Proof #3: Two different pictures are painted.
In the Old Testament, there were two different pictures painted of the Messiah—one suffering (Isa. 53:2-10, Ps. 22:6-8, 11-18) and one reigning as King (Ps. 2:6-12, Zech. 14:9,16). As we look back on these scriptures, we see they predicted two separate comings of the Messiah—the 1st coming as a suffering Messiah and the 2nd coming (still future) as a reigning King.

In the New Testament, we have another picture added. Again, we have two pictures painted which don’t look the same. These two different descriptions of Jesus’ coming point to two separate events we call “the rapture” and “the second coming.”

Proof #4: The Known Day and the Unknown Day.
Concerning the return of Jesus, the Bible presents a day we can’t know and a day we can know. Matthew 25:13 says Jesus will return at an unknown time, while Revelation 12:6 says the Jews will have to wait 1,260 days for the Lord to return. The 1,260 days begins when the Antichrist stands in the Temple and declares himself to be God (Matt. 24:15-21, 2 Thess. 2:4) This event will take place at the mid-point of the seven year Tribulation (Dan 9:27). The Antichrist has authority to rule for 42 months, which is 1,260 days (Rev. 13:4) and will be destroyed by Jesus at His second coming (Rev. 19:20, 2 Thess. 2:8). The known and unknown days must happen at different times, meaning they are two separate events.

Proof #5: A door open in heaven (Revelation 4:1).
The door in heaven is opened to let John into heaven. We believe John’s call into heaven is prophetic of the Church being caught up at the rapture (see proof #6). In Revelation 19:11, heaven is opened again, this time to let the armies which are already in heaven out. This is the Church, which has been raptured at a previous time, following Jesus out of heaven at the second coming.

Proof #6: “Come up here.” (Revelation 4:1).
A voice called for the apostle John to “Come up here,” and immediately he was in heaven. This could be a prophetic reference to the rapture of the Church. The words “Come up here” are spoken to the two witnesses who are killed in the middle of the Tribulation, who are resurrected and ascend into heaven (Rev. 11:12). Therefore, the phrase “Come up here” could mean the Church is raptured in Rev. 4:1. The word “Church” is mentioned 22 times in Rev. 1-3, but is not mentioned again until Rev. 22:17.

**Proof #7: The 24 elders have their crowns.
After John is called up into heaven, he sees the 24 elders with their crowns (Rev. 4:4-10). We know that Christians will receive their rewards (crowns) at the rapture (2 Tim. 4:8, 1 Pet. 5:4). We will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous (Luke 14:14). The elders couldn’t receive their crowns unless the resurrection (rapture) has taken place.

Proof #8 Holy ones are already with Jesus in heaven (Zech. 14:5, Rev. 19:14).
The armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, follow Jesus out of heaven at His second coming (Rev. 19:14, Zech. 14:5, Col. 3:4). These are not angels because Rev. 19:8 tells us the fine linen is the righteousness of the saints. In order to come out of heaven we first have to go in, indicating a previous rapture.

Proof #9: Kept from the hour of testing (Rev. 3:10).
Revelation 3:10 says we will be kept out of the hour of testing which will come upon the whole earth (the Tribulation). Some have wrongly believed “keep” means to keep through, or protect through the Tribulation. Suppose you approach a high voltage area with a sign that says, “Keep Out.” Does that mean you can enter and be protected? No, it means you are forbidden from entering the area. But this verse also says He will keep us from the hour of testing. It is not just the testing, but the time period. If a student is excused from a test, he still may have to sit in the class while others take the test. But if he is excused from the hour of testing, he can go home. The Church will be called home before the hour of testing.

Proof #10: Angels don’t resurrect people when they gather them for judgment.
When the angels are sent forth to gather the elect at the second coming (Matt. 24:29-31), some have wrongly interpreted this as the rapture. There is one huge problem with this interpretation. If we are resurrected at this time, why would we need angels to gather us? In the resurrection, we will be like the angels (Matt. 22:30), able to travel in the air at will. Obviously, these people who are gathered are not resurrected, therefore it can’t be the rapture. No one would claim the wicked are raptured at this time, yet Matthew 13:39-41, 49 says the angels will not only gather the elect, but also the wicked. This gathering is not a resurrection.

Proof #11: Both wicked and righteous both can’t be taken first.
First Thessalonians 4:13-17 says the righteous are taken and the wicked are left behind. Matthew 13:30, 49 says the wicked are taken first and righteous are left behind. This points to two separate events, the rapture and the second coming.

Proof #12: Jesus returns from the wedding.
When Jesus returns to earth at the second coming, He will return from a wedding (Luke 12:36). At the rapture, Jesus is married to His bride, the Church. After the wedding, He will return to earth.

Proof #13: Jesus will receive us to Himself, not us to receive Him (John 14:2-3).
Jesus said He would prepare a place for the Church in heaven, then He would come again to receive us to Himself. Why would Jesus prepare a place for us in heaven and then not take us there? At the rapture, He will come to receive us to Himself, “that where I am (heaven), there you may be also.” If the rapture occurred at the same time as the second coming, we would go up to the clouds and then immediately come back to earth. That would contradict John 14:2-3.

Proof #14: The one who restrains is taken out of the way.
In 2 Thess. 2:6-7, Paul says “the one who restrains will be taken out of the way” before the Antichrist can be revealed. We believe this refers to the rapture because the Church is clearly the biggest obstacle to the Antichrist becoming a world ruler.

Proof #15: The separation of the sheep and goats (Matt. 25:31-46).
If the rapture occurred at the second coming, why would the sheep and the goats need to be separated immediately after the second coming? A rapture at the second coming would have already separated the sheep and the goats. With a Pre-Tribulation rapture, the people saved after the rapture will need to be separated after the second coming.

Proof #16: Who will populate the Millennium?
If the rapture occurs at the second coming and the wicked are cast into hell at that time, who will be left to populate the millennium? Only people in their natural (non-resurrected) bodies will be able to have children (Matt. 22:30). With a Pre-Tribulation rapture, the people saved after the rapture who are alive at the second coming will populate the earth during the Millennium

The Revelation of Jesus Christ given to John is the unveiling of Jesus until He turns over the kingdom to the Father. These are the things that must shortly come to pass. In a nutshell, the book of Revelation is the story of Jesus interacting with His people through time.

Some highlights of the book of Revelation are:

• The story of the risen Savior.
• The letters to the seven churches and the prophecy of the seven Church ages on earth
• The tribulation period and God dealing with Israel again after the Church age is complete.
• The second coming of Jesus.
• The thousand year reign of Jesus on earth.
• The final rebellion led by Satan.
• The great white throne judgment.
• Jesus turns over the kingdom to the Father after all enemies are defeated.
• A new heaven and earth in a perfect new creation.

 

 

 

The seven Church ages

The messages to the seven churches were to seven actual historic churches that existed in John’s time. They were not the most prominent churches but they were picked because God has a message to give to all the believers who will ever live during the Church age. We see here in these letters that He is working with His Church until the end of the Church age. The entire Church age is from the time of the giving of the promise of a new Covenant at Pentecost until she unites with Jesus in heaven.

There are seven periods within this age. The first three periods in Revelation have been fulfilled historically. We know this because each of the first three were replaced by a successor and there is no mention of the Lord’s coming in the first three.

Ephesus - the Apostolic Church – until the death of John 32 – 100 AD
Smyrna – The martyred Church – until Christianity became the religion of the Roman Empire – 100 – 312 AD.
Pergamum – - The Church that joined the state – until the Papacy – 312 – 600 AD (approx.)

The messages to all seven churches are still valid to all who live on the earth today but only the last four letters deal with the historic assemblies that are still dwelling on earth until Jesus returns for them.

To avoid confusion, it is essential to understand that the letter was addressed to seven assemblies in existence at the time of John. Not all people in any of the original assemblies were truly Christian. The message content from Jesus to the seven churches should makes this clear as does the New Testament epistles to the churches. If there is a prophetic application with the Church through time as I believe, it also is critical to understand that the message from Jesus to the last four assemblies is to true believers and traditional cultural Christians alike. Just like their were believing descendants of Israel and unbelieving descendants of Israel. The letters in Revelation to the Churches are to all who identify with these Christian assemblies and not just to the true believers within them.

 

The last four remaining churches on earth:

Thyatira is the Roman Catholic Church and the eastern Orthodox Churches. At the end, this assembly will be tried by death. The passage seems to imply that most in this assembly are cast into great tribulation and that the descendants of this Church are killed in the tribulation. This Church has good works but most were in adultery with mystery Babylon.

Sardis is the Churches of the reformation that have become spiritually dead. They are the liberal and ritualistic churches that have no good works. This includes many main line Protestant denomination churches in the world today, and certainly includes most of the state churches of Europe. God says they will not know the time of his coming and that they will not be ready when He comes. They will go through great tribulation.

Philadelphia, like Enoch, was pleasing to God. This assembly has an open door (world evangelism) that no one can shut (not even Satan). She has some power (God’s Spirit), she kept the word (the Bible) and does not deny the name of Jesus. This Church also kept the word of His patience (Jesus coming for the Church) and because of this she, like Enoch, will be removed from the earth before the judgment on earth (great tribulation). The Church of Philadelphia is many of those in the Evangelical and Pentecostal assemblies.

Laodicea is the wealthy Protestant churches of today that are self-centered country clubs. It could also be those that “say” they are rich in spirit but are full of dead works. She is spit out of Jesus’ mouth and becomes identified with the harlot of Revelation. She is rich in material goods but she is poor spiritually. God is outside looking in (no indwelling spirit). This assembly will be chastened in the tribulation but those individuals that seek Jesus will find Him. This group probably includes most “possibility thinking” and “Word of Faith” churches. It certainly includes some “seeker friendly” churches that have watered down Christian doctrine and worship to make it appealing to the world It would also include the emerging and emergent church movement that redefines essentials truths of Christianity. It may also include some charismatics who think they are rich spiritually but have gone off into new age theology and doctrine of demons. It could even possibly include some cults that are in great heresy but who do not deny that Jesus is Lord.

Many will be saved in the tribulation

The scripture says all who endure to the end will be saved (all who hold on to the testimony of Jesus during the tribulation).

That word “all” should nullify any doctrine that says there will be no second chance of salvation for those who heard the gospel but were not part of the spiritual body of Christ before the rapture or tribulation. The passage clearly excludes no one and we see that true repentance leads to salvation throughout scripture.

Rev 12:11 And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb, and because of the word of their testimony; and they loved not their life even unto death.

There is still time for the blind to see:

Those that allegorize and spiritualize scripture that should be taken literally sometimes do not believe in the infallibility of scripture either. They need to look at the foundations of their faith.

Some in the Church lack diligence and scholarship and only believe what they were taught in liberal seminaries. These need to study to show themselves approved.

Some hold a warped view in ignorance, such as Christians who think the Church replaced Israel or that think we are living in the kingdom now. These members are blinded by darkness and need to be enlightened by the word and the Spirit.

Those open to demonic deception in Thyatira need to look to the word of God and follow Jesus instead of following traditions of men and pagan mysticism.

Those that are sleeping in Sardis need to WAKE UP or they will be left behind.

Those that are deceived by materialism and doctrines of demons like those in Laodicea need to find true spiritual riches from God.

Those in all the assemblies who think we cannot know the general time of His coming need to remember that Jesus admonished the Pharisees for not knowing the time of his first appearing and that Paul told the Church that we are not in darkness that this day would come upon us as a thief.

 

More insights on the rapture of the Church:

Those who are born of the Spirit and who are ready, will go in the pretribulation rapture and escape the time of the tribulation. People who identify themselves as Christians by tradition and culture but who do not have the indwelling Holy Spirit will go through the great trial on earth. Going through the tribulation will cost most of those who continue to identify with Jesus after the rapture their lives. It will be a trial by fire; those who overcome by losing their life for His namesake will be saved. Those cowards that seek to save their lives by denying Him will lose their souls.

Some say the partial rapture of those who claim they are Christian is equal to a Protestant purgatory. However, what if the real fires of purgatory (if you wish to call it that) is the awareness of the departed believers that their lives were displeasing to Christ? Thus, they now wait in anguish under the altar for the future judgment seat of Christ to take place. This judgment is not about salvation; it is about the public giving or taking away of positions of authority based on faithful or unfaithful service.

All prior believers have tasted death of the flesh. Will Jesus actually deliver those who are living in spiritual adultery and who are faithless from physical death? Enoch, as our example, was taken and did not taste death because he pleased God, but without faith it is impossible to please God. Jesus tells us to remember Lot’s wife. Lot’s wife looked back to Sodom. Israel also looked back to Egypt after God delivered them out of Egypt. Those who did so were not spared, so why should the Gentiles be spared who are displeasing to God? Those in the Church that look back and get entangled in the world will not be watching and waiting for His return and they also will not be delivered in the rapture of the faithful that are identified as Philadelphia.

The real question might be, are carnal Christians even part of the Church? A strong case can be made that those who say they are Christian but have no works are not part of His Spirit indwelt body at all. Those who are born of the Spirit and are pleasing God by real faith with evidence of works of the Spirit will certainly be among those taken in the rapture.

 

How can a Church that is kept out of the trial go through the trial?

If the Philadelphia Church is kept from the hour (time) of the tribulation then how can she possibly go through part or all of it? She is also given crowns. The crowns are given at the judgment seat of Christ in heaven after the rapture but before the second coming.

Enoch – the 6th from Adam – walked with God for 300 years, was taken, and did not see death. Could this be a picture of the sixth church being raptured after a similar period of evangelism? Enoch knew when the judgment would come. He named his son Methuselah. The meaning of the name Methuselah is “when he is dead it will come“. The year Methuselah died is also the year of the great flood. When the Church is taken out the judgment will shortly follow.

 

The ancient Jewish marriage ceremony proclaims a pretribulation rapture picture.

• The groom goes to the bride’s house and is betrothed to the bride (the faithful on the earth)
• He pays the purchase price (his blood)
• He returns to his father to prepare a place for the bride (“I go to prepare a place for you”)
• Later the groom comes for the bride (rapture)
• He takes her to his father’s house and gives her gifts where she is adorned and prepared for the wedding (judgment seat of Christ where crowns are awarded)
• The wedding then takes place before the father and the witnesses (in the father’s house)
• The groom appears with his bride (second coming in glory with his saints)
• Then the wedding feast takes place (on earth with invited guests of the bride and groom)

 

 

 

The Song of Solomon 2:08-14 could have a picture of the rapture.

Sol 2:10 and 14 – He tells his beloved to arise and come away (rapture)

11 – in late spring (Resurrection Day, Ascension Day or Pentecost?)

12 – rain is over and past (In Israel this is the month of May (Ascension Day or Pentecost?)

13 – the figs are ripening (Israel is God’s fig tree – it is time for Israel to become fruitful)

14 – She is hid in the cleft of the rock (hid in Christ – Jesus is the rock)

15 – Take the foxes that do damage to the vines (time to deal with evil people)

16 – My beloved is mine, and I am his (marriage of the Church to Christ)

Jesus said it would be like in the time of Noah and Lot.

• Fire destroyed Sodom the day Lot was led out by angels
• The flood came after Noah entered the ark
• God’s wrath for the world in the future will come after the believers are removed.

There are also other picture stories worth finding in scripture that proclaim a removal of God’s people before the judgment.

Is the rapture of the Church in scripture?

There are many hints in scripture about God hiding his people during a time of judgment on the earth. Since it is clear that this has not happened yet, it is a future event:

Isa 26:20 Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast.

Psa 27:5 For in the day of trouble he will keep me secretly in his pavilion: In the covert of his tabernacle will he hide me: He will lift me up upon a rock.

Psa 50:5 Gather my saints together unto me, Those that have made a covenant with me by sacrifice.

Psa 58:9 Before your pots can feel the thorns, He will take them away with a whirlwind, the green and the burning alike.

Joe 2:16 gather the people, sanctify the assembly, assemble the old men, gather the children, and those that suck the breasts; let the bridegroom go forth from his chamber, and the bride out of their closet.

Zep 2:3 Seek ye Jehovah, all ye meek of the earth, that have kept his ordinances; seek righteousness, seek meekness; it may be ye will be hid in the day of Jehovah’s anger.

Joh 11:25,26 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth on me though he die, yet shall he live: and whosoever liveth and believeth on me shall never die. (Here Jesus in part is talking about the believers who are translated at his coming.)

Joh 14:1,2 Let not your heart be troubled: believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I come again, and will receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

1 Co 15:51,55 Behold, I tell you a mystery: We all shall not sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. But when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall come to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is thy victory? O death, where is thy sting?

1 Th 1:10 and to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead. Even Jesus. Who delivereth us from the wrath to come.

1 Th 4:14-18 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also that are fallen asleep in Jesus will God bring with him. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we that are alive, that are left unto the coming of the Lord, shall in no wise precede them that are fallen asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven, with a shout, with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: then we that are alive, that are left, shall together with them be caught up in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 2Th 2:1-12 Now we beseech you, brethren, touching the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and our gathering together unto him; to the end that ye be not quickly shaken from your mind, nor yet be troubled, either by spirit, or by word, or by epistle as from us, as that the day of the Lord is just at hand; let no man beguile you in any wise: for it will not be, except the falling away come first, and the man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition, he that opposeth and exalteth himself against all that is called God or that is worshipped; so that he sitteth in the temple of God, setting himself forth as God. Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things? And now ye know that which restraineth, to the end that he may be revealed in his own season. For the mystery of lawlessness doth already work: only there is one that restraineth now, until he be taken out of the way. And then shall be revealed the lawless one, whom the Lord Jesus shall slay with the breath of his mouth, and bring to nought by the manifestation of his coming; even he, whose coming is according to the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, and with all deceit of unrighteousness for them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God sendeth them a working of error, that they should believe a lie: that they all might be judged who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

Tit 2:13 looking for the blessed hope and appearing of the glory of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;

Heb 11:5-6 By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and he was not found, because God translated him for he hath had witness borne to him that before his translation he had been well pleasing unto God and without faith it is impossible to be well pleasing unto him; for they that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that seek after him.

1 Joh 2:28 and now my little children, abide in him; that, if he shall be manifested, we may have boldness, and not be ashamed before him at his coming.

Note… Matthew chapters 24 and 25, Mark chapter 13, and Luke chapters 17 and 21 also deal with the end times. They also are the most used references for those who believe the Church will go through the tribulation but in these scriptures what we really see is Israel going through the tribulation and the gathering of tribulation saints to Israel.

Hundreds of thousands of Americans came together in more than 300 locations across the nation to shout, “Enough government!” They met on Tax Day to protest the expanding government apparatus and big government spending. Thousands of protesters – some dressed in colonial wigs with tea bags hanging from their eyeglasses – showed up in states from California to Kentucky to Massachusetts, holding signs and reading speeches in protest of the Obama administration’s tax-and-spend policies. It was probably the largest grass-roots organized event in the history of the republic. The governor of the state of Texas openly accused the federal government of “overturning the rights we had one by one, making choices that would leave our Founding Fathers scratching their heads.” Gov. Perry spoke to the crowd of thousands who turned out for the Dallas tea party. Perry went so far as to remind Washington that Texas retains the right as a republic to secede from the Union. Don’t tread on me. But as far as much of the mainstream media were concerned, it all might just as well have happened on the dark side of the moon. The New York Times completely ignored a nationwide anti-government protest in favor of a demonstration in Afghanistan. What mainstream attention the effort did get was heavily propagandized. CNN openly mocked the tea parties and their thousands of participants as if they were all morons. MSNBC launched an all-out effort to marginalize it as a GOP political operation. Brent Bozell, president of the conservative Media Research Center, said the media coverage was “insulting.” “I’ve never seen anything like it,” Bozell said. “The oral sex jokes on (CNN) and particularly MSNBC on teabagging … they had them by the dozens. That’s how insulting they were toward people who believe they’re being taxed too highly.” White House press secretary Robert Gibbs said the White House was “amused” by the tea parties, but that “nobody out there is making $250,000 a year” – as if that were somehow relevant. President Obama said that he was “completely unaware” of the tea party protests. How can it be that the president could be “unaware” of a grass-roots protest movement of this size and scope? Doesn’t he have a TV? Actually, it was possible to watch the news of the day and scan the daily headlines and never know anything about the protests, unless one took place near your house. Those news organizations that did take notice of the events around the country presented them as a Fox News-promoted, GOP-affiliated non-event that drew pockets of Obama-haters. Only days before, the Department of Homeland Security issued a bulletin to law-enforcement officials warning of the dangers posed by “right-wing extremists” that, according to the government definition from the bulletin, were the very people that showed up for the tea party demonstrations. Specifically cited were “those who … reject federal authority in favor of state and local authority.” (Like tea party protesters?) I couldn’t help but notice the fact that, despite the size of the crowds and the depth of their feeling, there was not a single recorded instance of violence. There was not a single riot among all those thousands of protesters in those hundreds of cities. Nobody’s windows were smashed. Nobody was injured in clashes with police. Nobody was killed. It was astonishing to watch. Tens of thousands of Americans gathered together for no other purpose except to have their voices heard. They stood up … only to discover to their shock and dismay that their own government now considers them to be enemies of the state and that the allegedly unbiased mainstream media marginalized them as nut jobs – or ignored them altogether. One would never have dreamed it possible in America. But that was before The Change That You Can Believe In. Now, it seems, anything is possible.

I’ve read everything I could get my hands on about this guy in the last two years and I know less about him now than I did at the beginning.

Despite his “poor-boy” myth, Obama is a privileged African-American, educated at the finest schools, who has not shared the black American experience. By birth, blood and training, he was a Muslim, who became a member of a Marxist, Black-African church. He’s a socialist whose politics are rooted in Marx and whose tactics were conceived by the communist, Alinsky. He’s a master at shaping his own mythology,completely unqualified to be Commander in Chief, and, he is not now, nor ever has been, a “natural born citizen.”

Let’s begin with the original Obama rumor. He’s a Muslim.

Is he a Muslim? — I don’t think so. But, I don’t think he’s a Christian, either.

He’s a Socialist, at best — and worse he’s an Alinsky socialist, and Alinsky described himself as a communist. Just check out Obama’s close friends and associates.

Yet, there is a part of Obama that is Muslim. There’s the prepubescent youngster who lived in a Muslim household, in a Muslim country, attended a Muslim school, undoubtedly eager to please his peers and teachers, anddoing his best to be a good little Muslim boy to please his new step-father.

The Jesuits would say, “Give me the child, and I will mould the man.” Here’s one Muslim’s view — “he’s a Muslim.”

And, suddenly, young Obama is in Hawaii — abandoned by his father, and now, his mother and stepfather.

During the day, he’s going to school with the children of the Islands’ elites, telling his classmates that his father was an African prince, the leader of a proud and successful people.

During the evening, he’s tutored by Frank Marshall Davis — grampa Stanley’s drinkin’ buddy — who assumes the role of father-figure. Under Frank’s tutelage, Marx replaced Muhammad.

There’s still some Muslim in there somewhere — some influence — some sensitivity — some empathy — but, he’s not a Muslim.

Davis, a radical black communist, fed the impressionable Obama a constant diet of “pissed off” and “blackness” all through his high school years. Davis’s parting words to Obama on his leaving for Occidental College were, “college is an advanced degree in compromise” and he warned Obama not to forget his “people” and not to “start believing what they tell you about equal opportunity and the American way and all that shit.”

Obama, who grew up in a comfortable white household, has struggled to find an identity as a righteous black men ever since. Obama accepted “the pure and heady breeze of privilege” to which he was exposed as a teenager, but rejected his “white skin privilege” — or at least tried to.

At Occidental, Obama sought out the more politically active black students. The foreign students. The Chicanos. The Marxist professors and structural feminists. However, Occidental wasn’t black enough for him and after two years he headed east to Columbia University — on the edge of Harlem.

Obama’s Columbia experience is a complete mystery. No one, absolutely no one, remembers Obama from Columbia — Fox News asked 400 ex-students and all Fox got was shrugs. There is no picture of him in the yearbook. The only thing we really know about this period is that Obama spent a lot of time at the Marxist-Socialist conferences at Cooper Union and African cultural fairs in Brooklyn.

Obama stopped drugging sometime during the Columbia period. He started abusing marijuana and cocaine at Punahou. “Pot had helped, and booze; maybe a little blow when you could afford it. Not smack, though,” he wrote.

Obama briefly flirted with New York, doing his first community organizing in Harlem for the New York Public Interest Research Group (NYPIRG). created by Ralph Nader in the 1970s. It’s New York State’s largest student-directed consumer, environmental and government reform organization.

After Columbia, Obama spent a year in New York and was then hired by a community organizer for the Developing Communities Project (DCP) of the Calumet Community Religious Conference (CCRC) in Chicago.The “Project” was funded by Bill Ayers’ Woods Fund, which raises the question, “did Obama meet Ayers” while both were students in New York? They lived and attended school in the same neighborhood.

Obama was 24 years old, unmarried, and according to his memoir, searching for a genuine African-American community.

Both the CCRC and the DCP were built on the Alinsky model of community agitation, wherein paid organizers learned how to, in Alinsky’s words, “rub raw the sores of discontent.”

Alinsky viewed as supremely important the role of the organizer, or master manipulator, whose guidance was responsible for setting the agendas of the People’s Organization. “The organizer,” Alinsky wrote, “is in a true sense reaching for the highest level for which man can reach — to create, to be a ‘great creator,’ to play God.”

Alinsky wrote, “Rules for Radicals,” a book he dedicated to Lucifer, whom he called the “first radical’” For Alinsky, “Change” was his mantra. By “Change,” Alinsky meant a quiet, Marxist revolution achieved by slow, incremental, Machiavellian means that turned society inside out. This had to be done through systematic deception, winning the trust of the naively idealistic middle class, and by using the language of morality to conceal an agenda designed to destroy it. And the way to do this, he said, was through “people’s organizations’”

One of Obama’s early mentors in the Alinsky method was Mike Kruglik, who had this to say to an interviewer of The New Republic, about Obama:

“He was a natural, the undisputed master of agitation, who could engage a room full of recruiting targets in a rapid-fire Socratic dialogue, nudging them to admit that they were not living up to their own standards. As with the panhandler, he could be aggressive and confrontational. With probing, sometimes personal questions, he would pinpoint the source of pain in their lives, tearing down their egos just enough before dangling a carrot of hope that they could make things better.”

Watch Obama work a crowd at a town hall meeting. He comes out, says a few words in greeting and then begins his laundry list of all the stuff that’s wrong with America, getting the audience all revved up. When the crowd is engaged and sufficiently “pissed off,” Obama presents a solution to the all the things that are “pissing them off” — the chosen one, the anointed one, the Obama — as president.

Alinsky’s goal was to slowly turn the United States into a Communist dictatorship; to this end he tried to convince various groups of poor people and labor unions to push for legislation in that direction; he did this by appealing to their self-interest — whether valid or not — instead of using charismatic leadership — but now we have Obama, who is skilled in the Alinsky method and charismatic.

The unrepentant terrorist, Bill Ayers, was a constant during Obama’s “Alinsky” period. Alinsky supplied the method but Bill Ayers supplied the money and the connections to the Chicago Left that allowed Obama to grow his activism into political office. When Obama wasn’t agitating, he was elbow to elbow with Bill Ayers on one project or another.

One of Ayers’ and Obama’s schemes, the Chicago Annenberg Challenge, spent $150 million to radicalize Chicago schoolchildren.

When Obama undertook his agitating work in Chicago’s South Side poor neighborhoods, he was un-churched. Yet his office was in a Church and most of the folks he needed to agitate and organize were Church people — pastors and congregants, who took their churches and their church-going very seriously. Again and again, he was asked by pastors and church ladies, “Where do you go to Church, young man?”

In the paperback version of “The Audacity of Hope,” in the chapter entitled “Faith,” beginning on page 195, and ending on page 208, Obama is telling us that he doesn’t really have any profound religious belief, but that in his early Chicago days he felt he needed to acquire some spiritual “street cred.”

So, at 28, Obama finally joined a church, in part to deepen what one friend called “a whole web of relationships” in the community. It also gave him a strong political base and a well-connected mentor.

Obama didn’t join just any church, but a huge black nationalist church, the Trinity United Church of Christ (UCC). Its pastor, Rev. Jeremiah A. Wright, a former Muslim and racist black nationalist, unabashedly preached a “black” gospel” and the Marxist “Black Liberation Theology.”

Membership in this congregation gives Obama the political cover he needed. He now introduces himself as a Christian, although he has never been baptized.

Swearing allegiance to the “Black Value System” of a church whose foundation is “Black Liberation Theology” does not a Christian make. But it is good politics on the South Side.

Harvard Law School changed everything. Being the first affirmative-action president of the Harvard Law Review netted Obama a book deal — which he booted — he spent the money but didn’t produce a book — but he got a second advance and headed off to Bali, Indonesia, to finish his fable, “Dreams From My Father,” the source of almost everything we know about Obama.

In the early 90’s, Obama married and practiced civil rights law for a couple of years and then, with the publication of “the book,” Obama started blossoming out. He cut back on his law practice. He began teaching at the University of Chicago. He chaired the Chicago Annenberg Challenge.

And, finally, Obama saw the chance to run for the state senate in a district that included Hyde Park, the home of the University of Chicago and some of the poorest ghettos on the South Side.

Obama challenged hundreds of signatures on his rivals’ nominating petitions and kept challenging petitions until every one of Obama’s four Democratic primary rivals was forced off the ballot and won unopposed.

The man now running for president on a message of giving a voice to the voiceless first entered public office not by leveling the playing field, but by clearing it.

During his run for the Illinois state senate seat, Obama received the endorsement of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA). Obama was/is an associate of the Chicago branch of the DSA, and a member of the “New Party,” and signed documents seeking their support.

Obama has spent his entire political career trying to win the next step up. Every three years, he has aspired to a more powerful political position.

When Obama was considering a run for the US Senate in 2003, he paid an intriguing visit to Emil Jones, Jr., the Illinois Senate Majority Leader.

“You have the power to elect a U. S. senator,” Obama told Jones, a former Chicago sewers inspector, who had risen to become one of the most influential African-American politicians in Illinois.

Jones looked at the ambitious young man smiling before him and asked, teasingly: “Do you know anybody I could make a U. S. senator?”

According to Jones, Obama replied: “Me.” It was an audacious step in his spectacular rise from the murky political backwaters of Springfield, the Illinois capital.

Jones had served in the Illinois Legislature for three decades. He represented a district on the Chicago South Side not far from Obama’s. He became Obama’s kingmaker.

Several months before Obama announced his U.S. Senate bid, Jones called his old friend Cliff Kelley, a former Chicago alderman who now hosts the city’s most popular black call-in radio program.

I called Kelley last week and he recollected the private conversation as follows:

“He said, ‘Cliff, I’m gonna make me a U.S. senator.’”

“Oh, you are? Who might that be?”

“Barack Obama.”

Jones appointed Obama sponsor of virtually every high-profile piece of legislation in the senate, angering many rank-and-file state legislators who had more seniority than Obama and had spent years championing the bills.

“I took all the beatings and insults and endured all the racist comments over the years from nasty Republican committee chairmen,” state senator Rickey Hendon, the original sponsor of landmark racial profiling and videotaped confession legislation, yanked away by Jones and given to Obama, complained to me at the time. “Barack didn’t have to endure any of it, yet, in the end, he got all the credit.”

“I don’t consider it bill jacking,” Hendon told me. “But no one wants to carry the ball 99 yards all the way to the one-yard line, and then give it to the halfback who gets all the credit and the stats in the record book.”

Every bill Obama passed as a state senator was passed his last year. During his seventh and final year in the state senate, Obama’s stats soared. He sponsored a whopping 26 bills passed into law — including many he now cites in his presidential campaign when attacked as inexperienced.

It was a stunning achievement that started him on the path of national politics — and he couldn’t have done it without Jones.

When Obama decided to run for the U. S. Senate he was virtually unknown in his own state. Polls showed fewer than 20 percent of Illinois voters had ever heard of Barack Obama.

But he got a boost, when, on June 2004, the billionaire, George Soros threw a big fund-raiser at his New York home for Obama’s Illinois Senate campaign. Soros and family personally chipped in $60,000. No telling what Soros’ buddies chipped in.

Then the Democratic Party introduced Barack Obama to the nation on July 27th, 2004, when Obama delivered his now-famous speech before the Democratic National Convention.

During the 2004 senate campaign, Obama ridiculed as “a silly question” whether he would run for president or vice president before his term ends in 2011. “I’ve never worked in Washington,” he said. “I can unequivocally say I will not be running for national office in four years, and my entire focus is making sure that I’m the best possible senator on behalf of the people of Illinois.”

In November, 2004, Obama was elected to the United States Senate, mostly through the self-destruction of his top opponents in both the primary and general elections.

Almost immediately after his swearing-in Obama’s beatification began when Time magazine named Obama one of “The World’s Most Influential People.” He was listed among other leaders and revolutionaries. The British journal, New Statesman, named Obama one of “10 People Who Could Change the World.”

In the first 18 months of his first Senate term Obama was also writing his second book, “The Audacity of Hope.” Immediately after finishing it, he built up support for his forthcoming Presidential campaign by campaigning for other Democrats in 2006, took part in a book tour, made a few appearances on entertainment shows, and began his campaign for the presidency. Not much time for doing what he was elected to do — represent the people of Illinois.

On Tuesday, January 16th, 2007, less than two years after his swearing-in, Obama, who has been repeatedly identified as the most liberal member of the U. S. Senate, took the first step toward running for president by filing papers to create a presidential exploratory committee.

Pretty much, everybody that cares, has watched what has gone on since. The elevation of Obama to cult status as the Obamamessiah. The “we can change the world” slogans and mass crowds. The Alinsky-inspired challenges about “the world as it is, and the world as it should be.”

But, there was a downside to the campaign. The Rev. Wright’s hateful, racist and anti-American sermons become public and, after 20 years, Obama swore he didn’t know anything about it, saying, “I wasn’t in church that day.”

The names Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn bubbled up and Obama went, “Who?”

His pal and money-man Rezko was found guilty and Obama said, “What?”

The Annenberg Challenge? The only executive experience Obama has, is missing from his resume.

ACORN? Nuts!

Obama doesn’t know anybody or anything.

Have you noticed? Obama doesn’t have any close friends. Obama doesn’t have a “best friend,” a pal or a buddy, who goes back to Punahou, or Occidental, or Columbia, or Harvard, or the projects — not one.

But, the people that are around Obama all have one thing in common — they all hate America — and there’s a bunch of them that are hard-core communists.

His wife (Michelle), his mentor (Davis), his druggy buddy (Rafik), his pastor (Wright), his other pastors (Pfleger, Meeks, Watts), his associates (Ayers, Dohrn, Klonsky) or his supporters at the Daily Kos and Code Pinkall have one thing in common — they all hate America — and they all say so, all the time — and Obama feigns surprised that anyone would question his patriotism, even as he disrespects his country’s symbols.

Obama and all his friends have clearly stated their goals. America, as it is and has been, needs to change and the change they have in mind is socialism — at best.

I know this is true, because these people have repeatedly and clearly said so. They’re all up to their ears in the “quiet revolution,” first described by the Italian Marxist, Antonio Gramsci, and they feel it is at hand. They can taste victory and it all hinges on Barack Hussein Obama.

The mainstream media provides cover for Obama. It has completely abrogated its role and responsibility to vet him.

On the Internet, there is an organized, systematic cleansing of Obama-related content.

Every couple of days I get an email telling me this link, or that link, connects to a “Page not found — 404 error.” The extensive body of Obama web-knowledge, that has evolved over the last 20 years, is shrinking. Stuff that’s considered an Obama smear or unflattering is sent to the Obama ‘08 cyber shredding machine. And the campaign is getting help from some really big web service providers.

A good example is Kristof’s famous New York Times article, in which Kristof quotes Obama saying that the Muslim call to prayer is “one of the prettiest sounds on Earth” and in which Obama recited the Muslim call to prayer, the Adhan, “with a first-class [Arabic] accent” — that’s gone — from The New York Times (It’s here though).

And, the Trinity UCC website has completely changed. Now, it’s all sweetness and light. Gone are all those great Rev. Wright “God damn America” videos and anti-Israeli Trumpet magazine excerpts.

Obama has lived for 48 years without leaving any footprints — none! There is no Obama documentation — no bona fides — no paper trail — nothing.

The Illinois State Archives told Judicial Watch that they never received any request from Senator Obama to archive any records in his possession. In 2007, Obama told Tim Russert that his records were “not kept.”

And there’s less on the web every day. In time, the entire Obama body of knowledge will consist of 3 documents — “Dreams From My Father” — “The Audacity of Hope” — and the latest — “Change We Can Believe In” — all written by Barack Hussein Obama or his “ghost-writers.”

Obama is an immensely talented man whose talents have been largely devoted to crafting, and chronicling, his own life. Not things. Not ideas. Not institutions. Just himself.

So, you can understand why I say, I know less about Obama now than I did at the beginning. The critical stuff is disappearing and all we have left is Obama’s idealized version of events. Now, this undocumented stranger, who has repeatedly been rewarded for the work of others, is sitting in the Oval Office.

All evidence points to the fact that Obama, who finds it hard to praise the United States for any achievement without mentioning some sin or grave shortcoming for balance, is, by law, not even eligible for POTUS because he is not a “natural born citizen” of the United States.

And, Obama is already buildinga cadre to lead his own “private army” — his own “Movement.”

His “Movement” is structure around Alinsky’s “people’s organization” and training programs designed to build a core group of “community organizers” dedicated to “social change” in their communities.

Their charter will be to bring about “Change.” They’ll do this through threats, pressure, tension and confrontation — getting people “pissed off” — the tactics of Alinsky.

Obama is cloning thousands of baby Obamas — a “people’s organization” — and on our dime. He’s got an Internet database of 3 million names that can be pointed at — or away from — an issue at the drop of a database-generated email.

A “movement” — dedicated to social change by getting people “pissed off” — and there will be thousands of them in the neighborhoods and hundreds of thousands more on the Internet.

Just what do you think he has planned for these guys?

On July 2nd, 2008, Obama spoke in Colorado Springs and hit themes of national service, foreign policy, and national security. In that vein, Obama proposed a rather extraordinary idea — that the US should spend as much money on a civilian national security force as it does on the military. (video)

“We cannot continue to rely on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives we’ve set. We’ve got to have a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded.”

And what color shirts will they wear?

that martial law threatens you safety and well being. It is divided into two
parts. The first part describes the framework for martial law and the second
part the actions to take in preparing for the actual declaration of martial law.

Martial law is defined as: military rule or authority imposed on a civilian
population when the civil authorities cannot maintain law and order, as in a
time of war or during an emergency.

Hitler turned Germany into a Nazi dictatorship through executive orders.

 

• Executive Order 10995: All communications media are to be seized by the
  Federal Government. Radio, TV, newspapers, CB, Ham, telephones, and the internet
  will be under federal control. Hence, the First Amendment will be suspended
  indefinitely.
  
• Executive Order 10997: All electrical power, fuels, and all minerals well be
  seized by the federal government.
  
• Executive Order 10998: All food resources, farms and farm equipment will be
  seized by the government. You will not be allowed to hoard food since this is
  regulated.
  
• Executive Order 10999: All modes of transportation will go into government
  control. Any vehicle can be seized.
  
• Executive Order 11000: All civilians can be used for work under federal
  supervision.
  
• Executive Order 11490: Establishes presidential control over all US
  citizens, businesses, and churches in time of “emergency.”
  
• Executive Order 12919: Directs various Cabinet officials to be constantly
  ready to take over virtually all aspects of the US economy during a State of

  disaster, military attack, technological emergency, or other emergency that

  States. Policy for national security emergency preparedness shall be established
  by the President.” This order includes federal takeover of all local law
  enforcement agencies, wage and price controls, prohibits you from moving assets
  in or out of the United States, creates a draft, controls all travel in and out
  of the United States, and much more.
  
• Martial law can be declared due to natural disasters, Y2k Crisis, Stock
  Market crash, no electricity, riots, biological attack, …. anything leading to
  the breakdown of law and order.

• Prepare before any declaration of martial law by becoming self reliant. You
  may become subject to a bureaucratic system and be prepared to stay one step
  ahead of it which is easy to do if you are prepared and in a position to be self
  reliant. You may also face mob rule, chaos, panic, or a complete breakdown in
  law and order. Surival situations may be easier to handle in rural areas than
  urban.
  
• Avoid areas of marital law. Can be imposed due to natural disasters or man
  caused events. Important to have a retreat or place in a rural area away from
  populated areas.
  
• Create alliances with like minded neighbors or community members that share
  your views. Team work and numbers may help your situation.
  
• Become transparent in the sense that you do not draw attention to yourself
  or your family. For instance, do not tell people that you are storing food just
  store food. Be prepared to render assistance to neighbors if need be. You never
  know when you will need them.
  
• Remain calm! Do not panic.
  
• Avoid areas of civil unrest if possible. If caught in civil unrest take appropriate action.
  
• Get informed and stay informed. Understand martial law can be a temporary
  crisis or an extended one. In extreme cases the shape of a whole nation can
  change.
  
• Declaration of martial law means your rights are suspended and it is
  government by decree. Your constitutional rights may no longer apply. This could
  mean a state of National Emergency.
  
• People can be arrested and imprisoned indefinitely without charges.
  
• Freedom of speech and freedom of assembly can be suspended, and censorship
  of the media imposed.
  
• Gun ownership will also come under severe attack during marital law. We
  could see house to house searches by the military or National Guard looking for
  guns and seizing any they find along with stored food.
  
• Take a stand on issues and make a choice that fits your beliefs and the
  situation. Do you believe as Patrick Henry, “Give me liberty or give me death?”
  Realize you may have some hard choices to make. Understand you may have to
  sacrifice your principles on trivial matters or take a hard stand. Always
  remember that you may have to come back and fight another day.

‘HATE CRIME’ LAWS: A PHONY “CRISIS” INTENDED TO SUPPRESS FREE SPEECH

1. Sexual Orientation “Hate Crimes” – A Manufactured Crisis. According to FBI data (Crime in the United States, 2006, and Hate Crime Statistics, 2006), anti-homosexual “hate crimes” account for a miniscule fraction of total crimes in the United States:

” None of the recorded 17,034 murders that occurred in 2006 () percent) occurred as a result of “bias motivation” because of the sexual orientation of the victim.
” None of the recorded 92,455 forcible rapes that occurred in 2006 (0 percent) were reported as being a result of bias motivation because of the victim’s sexual orientation.
” Of the recorded 860,853 aggravated assaults in 2006, 267 (.03 percent) were classified as bias motivation because of the victim’s sexual orientation.

2. Most Alleged “Hate Crimes” are Not Serious Violent Crimes.

” Intimidation: Nearly one-half (46 percent) of the recorded 5449 bias-motivated offenses against persons involved the crime of intimidation, defined as the use of threatening words and/or other conduct, but without using a weapon or subjecting the individual to actual physical attack.

” Simple assault: Another 32 percent of bias-motivated offenses involved simple assault, which is a physical attack not involving the use of a weapon, and where the victim does not suffer obvious severe or aggravated bodily injury.

Does the rare incidence of violent “hate crimes” justify the creation through legislation of an entire new class of crime?

3. Penalizing Thoughts Instead of Actions. Hate Crime legislation would have a chilling effect on free speech by making unpopular ideas a basis for harsher treatment in criminal proceedings.

” Current versions of “hate crime” legislation would prohibit only acts of violence, not speech. However, any such legislation would incorporate current federal law, which already specifically includes speech, making it unlawful to injure, intimidate, or interfere with any person because of his or her “race, color, religion, or national origin.”

” The Hate Crimes Reporting Act of 1990 mandated that the FBI include “intimidation.” Approximately half the “hate crimes” in the FBI statistics are in this category. Passage of “hate crimes” legislation would make name-calling literally a federal offense.

” “Intimidation” has already been broadly interpreted to include the public criticism of homosexuality, as in the case of 11 Christian protesters charged under a Pennsylvania hate crime law on Oct. 10, 2004. The defendants were charged for peacefully protesting at a “gay pride” rally and faced imprisonment and huge fines before their case was dismissed.

” Michael McGough, senior editorial writer for the Los Angeles Times, writes “The best argument against ‘enhanced penalty’ laws is the constitutional one. In the United States, we are taught, you can be sent to prison for what you do but not for what you think. Not only that, if government picks and chooses which crimes are the most serious based on the motivation behind them or the ethnic background of the victim, that is a violation of the 1st Amendment, isn’t it?” (“There’s little to like about hate-crime laws,” Los Angeles Times, February 19, 2007).

4. Federal Intrusion into State & Local Law Enforcement. Current “Hate Crime” legislation empowers the federal government to intervene and prosecute alleged “hate crimes” anywhere in the country, thus usurping the prerogative of state and local law enforcement. Federal hate crimes bureaucrats can intervene and claim jurisdiction in localities which lack “hate crime” laws, or where those laws are judged not to be zealously enforced.

5. The Myth that ‘Hate Crimes’ Are Not Being Prosecuted. Proponents of “hate crime” legislation have not substantiated the assertion that state and local authorities are failing to prosecute such crimes. Ironically, in the most high profile case for hate crimes legislation, the murder of Matthew Shepard, the killers were convicted and sentenced to double life sentences without parole. Only the pleas of Shepard’s parents persuaded the judge to spare Henderson and McKinney the death penalty.
