Isaiah the Prophet Still Lives TEACHING on ISAIAH prophecies

“Unto us a Son is given,” is the opening of the Prophecy in Isaiah 9:6. What an amazing promise that was fulfilled with the birth of Yeshua (Jesus), the Messiah of Israel, some 700 years later.

“And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty GOD, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.”

The first three of these names are always used in reference to the Almighty.
Whoever this Son was going to be, He was to be very special, a unique gift!
The man through whom we received this prophecy was Isaiah, whose very name means “The LORD is our Salvation”.

Yeshua (Jesus), reading from the Scroll of Isaiah
“I love reading Yeshayahu (Isaiah), this is how I came to discover Yeshua as our
Messianic of Israel,” Dudi said.
When we have taken a poll, half of the Jews who start to believe in Yeshua (Jesus),
do so after reading the Messianic prophecies, which include this prophecy.
Israelis like Saki, Noam, Sarah, Yacov, Dudi, and Rachel who we met recently have
found new life through Yeshua after reading the Messianic prophecies in the Book
of Isaiah, that today we wanted to bring the Prophet, himself, alive for you.

Born in 765 BCE, Yeshayahu ben Amoz (Isaiah son of Amoz) is often thought of
as the greatest of the writing prophets. Beginning his ministry at the age of 25, the year King Uzziah died, he was a contemporary of the Prophets Amos, Hosea, and Micah, and of the Judean Kings Jotham, Ahaz, Hezekiah, and Manasseh. Isaiah was married and had at least two sons, Shear-Jashub and Maher-Shalal-Hash-Baz.
It is understood that he probably spent the majority of his life in Jerusalem, and was
most influential during the reign of Hezekiah.

During Isaiah’s lifetime, he experienced the vast expansion of Assyrian empire and the corresponding fall of Israel.  Isaiah condemned King Ahaz for making an alliance with Assyria that led to the destruction of the northern kingdom in 722 BCE, and the dispersion of what are now known as the “10 Lost Tribes”.

With her northern border now exposed, Judah was put in even greater danger and, in 701 BCE, King Sennacherib of Assyria threatened Jerusalem itself.  King Hezekiah prayed earnestly, and Isaiah foretold that GOD would force the Assyrians to withdraw from the city. That night, an Angel of the LORD killed 185,000 Assyrian troops, and Sennacherib retreated in disgrace.

Even still, Isaiah warned Judah that because of her sin she would be forced into captivity by Babylon. Although the fall of Jerusalem would not take place until 586 BCE, Isaiah not only prophesied the destruction of Judah, but also the ascension of Cyrus the Persian, who would issue the decree for the Jews to return home to rebuild the Temple and their homeland.  YES another Prophecy fulfilled! According to Jewish tradition, after about 40 years in ministry, Isaiah’s death came at the hands of
King Manasseh, who ordered that he be sawed in half!

And yet, this Prophet still lives…
He lives on in his Words that continue to inspire Jews to return home every day; home to the Salvation of our LORD that Isaiah’s name proclaims; home to the Wonderful Counselor, Mighty GOD, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace; home to the Son who has been given unto us.

The Messianic Bible Project’s purpose is to bring TODAY’S generation of the Jewishpeople home to faith in Messiah Yeshua.  Isaiah and the other Prophets of Israel still speak clearly to even secular Israeli Jews who read their words, especially when experiencing them in their original Hebrew. Today you can make a difference for YESHUA so that Jewish people here in Israel and around the world will be able to find Him in the words of their own Prophets,
as you support the production of the Messianic Prophecy Bible.
“There will be no end to the increase of His government or of peace, on the throne of David and over His Kingdom, to establish it and to uphold it with justice and righteousness, from then on and forever more.”

let us pray, as Isaiah proclaimed, that “The zeal of the LORD of hosts will accomplish this!” The truth of Yeshua needs to be explained to every Jew here in Israel and throughout the world, so that they can know WHO the Messiah really is and what He has done for them. please Click Here to Bring the Prophets Alive to the Jewish People and Israel
